Donate to the Alumni Fund

Your gifts to the Alumni Fund ensure we can allocate support where it's needed most.

The power of collective giving

The Alumni Fund is an invaluable source of financial support built by alumni and friends of the University.

Through the power of collective giving, Alumni Fund donors ensure there is a reliable and steady stream of support available to give our students and researchers the opportunities they need to thrive.

We find great value in unrestricted giving – as it allows us to allocate the funding where it is most needed now and in the future – but you can also choose to focus your funding on a specific area including scholarships, academia and research, or student experiences and initiatives.

You can become a regular supporter of the Alumni Fund via monthly or annual donations, or provide a single gift.

Read on to discover the impact of your support.

Some of the many student initiatives supported by the Alumni Fund include:

  • the Students' Union
  • engineering competition teams
  • placement grants
  • Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs)
  • free graduation gown hire

Unrestricted donations to the Alumni Fund enables the University to allocate your generous gift where the need is greatest, including to the grants, scholarships and initiatives detailed above.

This flexibility is invaluable. It ensures we have a reliable source of funding to provide support – now and in the future – to students and researchers who are most in need at that time, whether that be providing a financial lifeline to a disadvantaged student or boosting a critical fundraising appeal.
