Description: | Aims: This unit will be delivered by multiple faculty members and industry experts in business analytics including a specialist from IBM, and will focus on business analytics software, its applications in practice in multiple sectors, and its implications in the wider and international context. It will utilise business cases to ensure experience transfer. Learning Objectives: * Use contemporary business analytics software to discover unidentified problems, devise solution approaches, and implement them [CILO:K2, P2] * Assess the past and current business analytics implementations, in particular with respect to ethical considerations [CILO:K3, I4] * Project the future needs, solutions, and trends for business analytics solutions across diverse industries [CILO:K4, P6 * Critically evaluate state-of-the-art software for business analytics, and its presentation to non-technical audiences [CILO:I5, I6].
