The annual Doctoral Information fair welcomed new starters and existing researchers to The Atrium in 4 West on Wednesday 30 October. Browsing the stands and enjoying conversations over coffee, researchers chatted with university teams including Student Services, Careers, The SU Bath, Computing Services, the Library and volunteering. Doctoral-led groups were also among the exhibitors on hand to answer questions, along with Doctoral College staff and Doctoral Student Ambassadors.
It was a great opportunity for students to remind themselves of the advice and support available across the University and to ask specific questions about their doctoral studies. Feedback from students ranged from: "Very friendly staff and lots of information on opportunities I didn’t know about" to "I found this so helpful and am glad that I visited. I felt supported".
For those of you who weren't able to come to the Fair, and/or if you aren't based here on campus, we've pulled together some information below from exhibitors which you might find useful.
