The Department of Life Sciences has launched a series of five new, online short courses for pharmacy professionals.

These short courses intend to serve pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the UK and internationally to meet their compulsory Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements and stay current and competent in their professional practice. The launch comes following the successful accreditation of the Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice MSc by NHS England.

The short courses are offered in Mental Health, Pharmaceutical Public Health, Answering Queries About Medicines, Polypharmacy, and Interpreting Key Blood Test Results. These fully online short courses also intend to give pharmacy professionals a taste of further study in areas they can go on to study through credit-bearing units at the University of Bath.

The Department of Life Sciences plans to develop the series in relevant and topical areas, and the framework could be used across the University to deliver more online short courses for professional development.
