2025 presents a fresh opportunity for change, and the climate emergency demands our attention through personal and collective action. Our community at Bath is a collective of change makers striving to make a difference; together, we have the power to drive positive change this year and push for a sustainable future.
Taking action comes in many forms, and everyone has the opportunity to contribute. To help you get started, here are five actions to spark change in your work and personal life:
- embrace the power of teamwork by joining Green Impact, the University’s new staff sustainability programme, learn more by signing up to the launch event and be part of delivering real change this year
- discover the ambitious commitments Bath is taking on the climate emergency and see how you can be involved, attend an Introduction to Climate Action & Sustainability at Bath workshop on Tuesday 14 January to find out more
- embed sustainability in your lab practices by joining LEAF our lab sustainability programme; learn more through the Introduction to Lab Sustainability & LEAF course running on Tuesday 14 January
- empower yourself with climate knowledge by attending a Climate Literacy course and uncover your power to create positive impact, sign up for a January course, on Monday 27 January or Thursday 30 January
- adopt new habits that are great for you and the planet, try switching up your commute and join Bath’s vibrant community of walkers and wheelers who recognise the benefits and ease of an active commute, check out the active travel webpage for tips and guidance
Continue the momentum of change outside the workplace and explore a range guidance on increasing your impact in your daily life at the bottom of our Staff Guide to Climate Action.
