As part of our Disability History Month activities, in December 2024 an exhibition was held in the Library to showcase the work done to make campus more physically accessible. This information has now been uploaded online, please take a moment to view these pages to learn more about the work that has been done and the plans for future key developments.

Initiatives on campus go beyond physical adjustments, by embedding inclusivity into governance processes, operational practices, and decision-making frameworks. £360k per year has been allocated to support improvement to accessibility over the next 10 years.

“Significant steps have been undertaken and ongoing efforts made to embed equality and diversity into the development and management of the University's physical estate. Accessibility, inclusive design, and equality considerations have a critical role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all users.” Dev Biddlecombe, Director of Campus Infrastructure
