International Summer School

A free, online programme for students looking to apply for undergraduate degree courses starting in September 2026.

Introduction to the International Summer School

The International Summer School is a virtual one-week programme starting from Monday 18 August to Friday 22 August 2025.


You will gain an insight into studying and student life at Bath, and learn more about the course areas offered at the University. The programme will include:

  • academic activities
  • sessions about applying and studying in the UK
  • contact with current students at Bath
  • opportunities to engage with other students looking to study a similar course to you

Successful completion of the programme will give you access to a guaranteed conditional offer, subject to conditions.

Eligibility for the International Summer School

Find out the requirements you need to attend the International Summer School.


To apply, you must be:

  • an international student (as classified by Overseas fee status)
  • starting university in September 2026
  • academically able to study your chosen subject at Bath

You must also be able to show evidence of your English proficiency with an IELTS 5.5 overall or an equivalent school qualification.

Guaranteed conditional offer

The conditions you need to meet to receive a guaranteed conditional offer.


If you complete the International Summer School, including all the sessions and activities, you will be guaranteed to receive an offer for a place to study at Bath.

This offer is based on the following conditions:

  • you will be applying for university in 2026
  • a UCAS application is submitted by the UCAS ‘on time’ deadline for the next entry cycle
  • you will complete all sections of the UCAS form including the personal statement for the degree you wish to study at Bath
  • you will be applying to university as an international student (classified by Overseas fee status)

Academic criteria

  • You meet the 'essential' academic entry requirements for your chosen course as stated on our course pages
  • You apply for an eligible course for the subject area you undertook as part of the International Summer School

Pharmacy degree criteria

Our Pharmacy degree requires completion of a successful interview for an offer, therefore you will be guaranteed an interview rather than a conditional offer.


Applying for the International Summer School

Applications for the International Summer School are now open. The deadline for applications is 20 June 2025.


Making an application

In your application you will need to provide details of your school, predicted grades, and any English language qualifications.

If you do not have official predicted grades at this point, please provide the grades which you realistically hope to achieve. These do not need to be official or confirmed by your teachers or school counsellor.

After you apply

Decisions will be made as soon as possible. You will hear from us no later than 27 June 2025.

If you are successful in gaining a place you will need to accept your place by 4 July 2025.
