Description: | Aims: The aims of this unit are to: * appreciate the importance of budgeting for a motorsport based business; * evaluate the impact of sponsorship in the motorsport industry; * determine the organisational requirements of a motorsport team; * develop managerial skills in a motorsport environment. Learning Outcomes: At the end of this unit students should be able to: * understand the legal and practical requirements of a sponsorship package; * maximise the benefits to all parties entering into a sponsorship package; * define legal and statutory requirements relating to the operation of a motorsport team with due regard for legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements; * understand the statistical and logistical requirements of a motorsport team; * understand the human resource implications for an organisation working in motorsport; * develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; * manage finances for a given area of responsibility; * provide leadership in a given area of responsibility.
