* to promote the development of high-level language skills in Spanish
* to acquire in-depth professional experience of the working environment
* to gain academic experience at a Spanish-speaking business school.

Learning Outcomes:
After completion of this unit students will have gained knowledge and experience of both a Spanish-speaking workplace and a higher education institution. They will have achieved high level language skills, and have developed and completed an academic research project based on the workplace as well as the assessment requirements stipulated.

Skills:
Skills in critical analysis, conceptual thinking, precision in the use of written and spoken language, exercise of independent judgement, reasoned argument, effective communication in the target language, teamwork and the planning/conduct/reporting of non-quantitative research are developed and assessed in this unit.

Content:
Students will carry out an agreed programme of work at a Spanish/Latin American business school. The nature, scope and assessment of this work is to be agreed by the institutions involved in the exchange arrangements. Working in a role in an approved organization which will involve a challenging range of tasks, giving an opportunity to put management studies into practice, while also developing language skills to near fluency.
