![]() | Aims: To provide an understanding of the principles of structural engineering applicable to façade engineering. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the Unit the students should be able to: * analyse thin walled structures, plates and shells. * specify and undertake testing of façade structures. Skills: Analysis and appraisal of the structural performance of complex facades. Presentation of complex results. Content: Shear and torsion, buckling, thin walled structures, plates and shells, methods of analysis and testing. |
