Description: | Aims: This unit aims to: Build on the practical experience gained from Production Techniques 1 & 2 combined with Digital Graphics & Interactive Media to provide students with the skills needed to undertake 360 commissions for corporate and event video production. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the unit the student should: * be able to describe, within the context of practical production, different corporate and event video genres and production processes; * be able to demonstrate the techniques for creating corporate and event videos, including client liaison, budgeting pre-production, production, camera interview technique, non-intrusive/low-budget cinematography; * be able to create graphics to support video productions, including DVD/BluRay menus, DVD/BluRay case wraps, booklets, hand-outs for training videos, etc. * demonstrate an ability to complete a good product to a tight schedule. Skills: Practical: camcorder operation, video editing, image generation & manipulation, graphics design & typography, client negotiation (T, F, A) Analytical; evaluative: analysis of corporate/event videos and accompanying graphics design (T, A) Content: Analysis of corporate/event videos and accompanying graphics design. Production of corporate or event film and graphics to a live or simulated brief. |
