Description: | Aims: This unit will equip learners with knowledge and skills about: * recognising the characteristics and understand the conceptual nature of multimedia. * understanding the current uses of multimedia and develop an awareness of likely future trends. * equipping the student with sufficient knowledge and skills to - Plan for the development of multimedia applications - Manage the development of multimedia applications - Develop multimedia applications - Publish and present multimedia applications * how to critically evaluate, problem solve and test a multimedia application. Learning Outcomes: At the completion of the unit, learners should be able to: * demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics, concepts and nature of multimedia. * be able to critically evaluate the current uses, design, development and functionality of existing multimedia applications and consider the likely future trends and uses of multimedia techniques. * plan and design a multimedia application. * develop, build and publish an interactive multimedia application. * critically evaluate, problem solve, test and present, an interactive multimedia application.
