Description: | Aims: To allow students to develop key knowledge and understanding to become competent sports therapists that can prescribe safe and effective exercise for athletes. Key skills that contribute to effective leadership will be considered and an emphasis will be placed upon ensuring that students continually critically analyse and reflect on their performance as a sports therapist. Learning Outcomes: At the end of this unit students will be able to: * Demonstrate a clear understanding of the key principles contributing to successful practical performance; * Demonstrate key pedagogical skills required to be competent professional practitioners; * Recognise how to plan effectively and implement strategies to produce effective exercise sessions based on an athletes requirements; * Reflect and provide critical analysis on their coaching / leadership performance; * Communicate and demonstrate effectively.
