Description: | Aims: This unit will develop learning beyond the academic curriculum and provide opportunities for the acquisition of knowledge and skills that reinforce the understanding of academic subjects and which add to the range of individual capabilities. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the unit a student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate competence in a range of professional skills appropriate to a specific employment sector. 2. Demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of an organisation and of how personal role has developed by recognising the constraints and opportunities that influence their practice. 3. Sustain and evaluate learning achieved during an appropriate work based learning period by critically reflecting upon their practice in terms of enhancing their continued professional development. 4.
