Description: | Aims: Explore the role of effective leadership in organisational development and improvement. Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit participants will be able to: 1. Practice critical and effective leadership approaches to deliver service objectives in the practice context (intellectual skill, professional skill; taught, facilitated) 2. Use and evaluate these approaches to respond to local, regional and national initiatives and priorities (Professional skill, intellectual skill; taught, facilitated) 3. Critically evaluate the emotions and politics that surround, shape and have an impact on leadership (intellectual skill, professional skill, practical skill; taught, facilitated) 4. Work and communicate effectively and appropriately with a range of people in practice contexts on an individual, group and organisational basis (professional skill, key skill; taught, facilitated and assessed) 5.
