This clinical module aims to update pharmacists on malignant diseases and patient monitoring factors that should be considered when providing pharmaceutical care for these patients.

Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this unit the student will be able to:
1. Describe and analyse the role of the pharmacist in prescribing, administration and monitoring of medication for patients with malignant diseases (knowledge and understanding)
2. Explain the disease and patient monitoring factors in malignant diseases (knowledge and understanding, professional practical skill)
3. Critically evaluate the evidence base for the management of common malignancies and the complications of management (intellectual skill)
4. Reflect on their own practice in supporting patients with malignant diseases and identify areas for continuous improvement (personal transferable skill)
5. Apply the knowledge gained in this unit to design enhancements to patient facing services and the patient experience (professional practical skill; intellectual skill; knowledge and understanding).
