![]() | Aims: To introduce students to the basic engineering experimentation skills required in the chemical engineering industries, and to enhance students' abilities to write technical reports and to interpret technical information. Learning Outcomes: After successfully completing this unit students should be able to: * analyse experimental data and conduct basic error analysis; * communicate experimental results in written form; * make correct use of units; * carry out simple calculations for chemical engineering problems; and * use a variety of different sources (internet, library etc.) to retrieve information. Skills: Reporting skills and teamwork; use of log books; data management. Content: A total of 10 laboratory and data analysis exercises relating to chemical engineering. |
