![]() | Aims: To complete a substantial research project relating to the IEM programme. Learning Outcomes: Students who successfully complete the unit will have a deep knowledge of the chosen area of research and the research methods used. Skills: To develop skills in formulating a relevant research question, planning and carrying out the required research, and writing it up as an academic dissertation. Content: Two-day residential Dissertation Workshop to prepare students to attempt their dissertation. Identification of a suitable topic for research and preparation of a research proposal; a comprehensive literature review; research and reporting including rigorous academic analysis, discussion and conclusions. |
