Description: | Aims: To introduce some statistical topics which are particularly relevant to Business students. To instruct in the use of Excel for graphical and descriptive data analysis. Learning Outcomes: On completing the course, students should be able to use Excel spreadsheets to handle and present business data sets appropriately. Skills: Excel (taught & assessed), statistical summary (taught & assessed). Content: The unit will cover the use of Excel in handling and presenting some types of data which are particularly relevant in Business. Collating and categorising data. Data description. Data display; graphs, charts and tables. Correlation. Simple linear regression. Introduction to time series. |
