![]() | Aims: To give each student the experience of a real aerospace design situation as part of a group. This unit builds on the evaluation stage, leading to a detailed design that takes into account both engineering and business aspects. To present these results in written and oral form and to practising engineers at an exhibition. Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit the student will have: * Demonstrated a detailed knowledge and understanding of the technical process that is aerospace engineering design. * Demonstrated a detailed knowledge and understanding of the commercial aspects of aerospace engineering. * Worked in a multi-disciplinary team. * Developed a business plan. Skills: Working in a team; problem solving; numeracy; written communication; oral communication; IT; leadership. Content: Detail Design/Detailed Commercial Study. Numerical analysis.
