Description: | Aims: The course aims to improve individual student awareness, understanding and use of fundamental English grammar. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course students will have: * increased awareness and understanding of grammar usage in a variety of written texts and listening passages. * developed self-study skills in an approach to grammar acquisition. * improved grammatical accuracy. * increased confidence of grammar in use. Skills: During the course, students will have: * enhanced their noticing of grammatical conventions in a variety of texts and materials. * increased ability to monitor accuracy of own production in spoken and written tasks. * produced and understood a variety of spoken and written material. * proofread a variety of self-produced written texts. Content: Materials and activities on the course will: * provide opportunities to practise in spoken and written production * provide opportunities to revise and reinforce key grammar points. * target grammatical weaknesses particular to individual students. |
