![]() | Aims: * To consolidate students' knowledge and understanding of advanced grammatical structures; * To develop students' vocabulary and expressive with a focus on style, register and genre conventions; * To manipulate the language accurately, in spoken and written forms; * To develop students' listening skills. Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to: * Employ a range of receptive and productive skills (in written and spoken form); * Use a broad range of lexis, grammatical structures and syntax; * Show awareness of style, register and appropriateness of language use; * Have an insight into the target culture(s) where the language is spoken. Skills: Precision and creativity in the use of written and spoken language; * Effective communication in the target language; * Independent learning strategies; * Adaptation to life in the target countries. Content: Grammar seminars: * Targeted practice to consolidate and deepen understanding of fundamental grammatical structures. Written language * Activities to develop reading and writing skills, such as summaries, essay writing and critical analysis of texts. Spoken language * Pair and group activities, including discussions, debates and presentations on a variety of topics related to culture and society in Spanish-speaking countries.
