Synopsis: | This unit develops a fundamental understanding of construction project management to enable you to work effectively on multidisciplinary construction-related projects. It will deepen your appreciation of how project management can be applied to range of design and construction applications. The unit will build a series of project management skills which will enhance your competitiveness and technology skills in practice. |

Content: | Principles of construction project management - an introduction.
Project Initiation: Setting the strategic context, stakeholders and project governance, developing a business case, client engagement. Project design and construction: Project monitoring and control, Earn value and crash costing, project and cost management, project risk management, Environmental, health and safety project management. In-operation project management: Facility project management, maintenance management. End of life project management: Circular economy, business models for reuse and recycle. |
