Requisites: | In taking this module you cannot take CH30054 . Only available to students on BSc or MSci programmes with Study Year Abroad who successfully complete year 2 with an overall stage average of at least 40%. Exceptionally, the unit may be available to students on BSc Natural Sciences. |
Aims: | Students will gain experience of living and studying in a University outside the UK. They will have the opportunity to develop personal and linguistic skills in addition to developing their knowledge and understanding of chemistry and its applications. |
Learning Outcomes: | After studying this Unit, students should be able to:
* Develop personal and interpersonal communication skills * Demonstrate the ability to work and interact effectively in a group environment in which cultural norms and ways of operating may be unfamiliar * Operate effectively with people from a different cultural background * (Where appropriate) improve their knowledge of the host language by attending classes therein and interacting with native speakers |
