Aims: | The aim of this unit is to allow the student to develop professional skills in an appropriate industrial, commercial or academic setting. |
Learning Outcomes: | At the end of the unit the student should be able to:
1. Time manage and take responsibility for a task within an agreed work plan. 2. Demonstrate competency in a range of professional skills including effective oral and written communication and others appropriate to the placement such as effective team work, generation of original data and/or appropriate data analysis and problem solving. 3. Perform specialist tasks within an academic, research or commercial setting. 4. Reflect on personal goals set and critically evaluate achievements during the placement (see POLO forms). |
