Aims: | The aim of this unit is:
* To provide students with the opportunity to carry out an independent research project by putting into practice some of the methods, theories and skills that they have learned during the taught units. |
Learning Outcomes: | By the end of the unit, the students should be able:
* To demonstrate a good knowledge of the literature on a chosen research question in the field of clinical psychology * To show competency in the use of particular research designs and techniques within the field of clinical psychology; * To present independent analysis, argument and/or application of theory in a coherent fashion; * To produce a dissertation of academic and professional merit that defines a research question/questions, identifies an appropriate methodology and engages with relevant theory and data. |
