Aims: | The aim of this unit is to examine, at an advanced and specialised level, key issues, concepts, debates, practical approaches, and career pathways in sports coaching.

Content: | Theory and key concepts in sports coaching (e.g., McDonaldisation, symbolic interactionism, identity, power, capital); sports coaching research and scholarship; equality and inclusivity in the context of sports coaching; coach roles and responsibilities; coaching initiatives, employment issues, and support systems; coach observations; session delivery; contemporary issues and case studies in sport coaching; career and study pathways in sports coaching.
