  • Evaluate and interpret financial information and undertake calculations and analysis to support financial management and investment decisions.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation of the theory and fundamental principles underlying the understanding and analysis of finance and investment scenarios/ problems/ questions.
  • Identify the issues and problems in financial management to be addressed as well as the information and techniques required to do so.
  • Appreciate the implications of economic and regulatory factors for financial management and investment.
  • Be able to effectively communicate problem formulation, technique(s) used in analysis and interpretation of results so as to influence an expert and/or non-expert audience.



Synopsis: Study fundamental concepts and techniques in finance. You'll explore:
  • the issues involved in a firm's investment and financing decisions
  • the tools used for new investment appraisal
  • calculating the cost of capital
  • the effect of capital structure on the value of a firm.
