Learning Outcomes: 1. Explore and discuss the foundational and contemporary issues relating to operations and supply chain management, particularly in an engineering context 2. Explore the tools and techniques that link theory and practice in operations and supply chain management 3. Critique and analyse complex operations and supply chain management challenges 4. Formulate process design and improvement schemes to improve multiple dimensions of operations and supply chain performance 5. Assess the role of operations and supply chains in managing engineering organisations


Synopsis: Address key operations and supply chain management decisions faced by organisations, with emphasis on the engineering business context. This unit will equip you with the tools and techniques to design, analyse and improve business processes and supply chain operations. You'll make use of a balance of academic theory and practical content activities such as case studies, guest lectures, classroom games and industry-based examples.

Content: This unit will explore issues across operations and supply chain management.
