Aims: The aim of this unit is to examine, at an advanced and specialised level, key issues, concepts, debates, practical approaches, and career pathways in Physical Education teaching.

Content: Theory and key concepts in Physical Education (e.g., behaviourism, cognitivism, social learning theory, visual-auditory-kinaesthetic learning styles, constraints-based teaching); Physical Education research and scholarship; equality and inclusivity in the context of Physical Education; contemporary issues and case studies in Physical Education (e.g., obesity, inactivity, technology); the national curriculum; lesson design and delivery; professionalism in teaching; Physical Education career and study pathways.
