The students will be presented with a current public health issue for which they will conduct appropriate research, analyse data and present a viable solution.

Content: Students will apply the skills and learning they have developed in the taught units in a public health/policy and/or research environment. Students will produce a final research report, which should include data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of findings relevant to public health and/or policy. The final research report will need to demonstrate an understanding of the material covered in the taught units, through the justification for the project focus, the chosen data collection, the analytical approach and the interpretation of findings within the global public health agenda. Students will also be required to defend their work through an oral exam.
