On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
1. Undertake a holistic approach to vehicle ideation, and determine vehicle architectures appropriate to propulsions system options 2. Perform life cycle analysis to evaluate the sustainability of competing propulsion system technologies 3. Conduct matching exercises for vehicle and propulsion systems technologies and usage cases with a focus on sustainability 4. Identify and define the societal merits of connected vehicles and mobility networks. |
Synopsis: | Explore the tools and techniques of vehicle design.
You will perform case study-based vehicle life cycle analysis, and undertake propulsion system selection and matching exercises. The relationship between cars, society and mobility will be explored, and you will be asked to consider how this might change as part of a sustainable future where responsible consumption, recycle-ability, and resource efficiency are key. |
