Synopsis: | Acquire the methodological and applied skills you need to analyse operations, logistics and supply chains. You will have the opportunity to apply the concepts, techniques and skills acquired from your taught units to solving a practical business problem. You will also develop your qualitative and quantitative skills. |
Content: | This unit aims to be applied, introducing students to a range of research strategies and techniques in the context of operations, logistics, supply chain management and various practical process improvement or design techniques. It will integrate academic content with practical skills such as interviewing, presenting and teamwork. Key topics to be covered include: engaging with the academic literature; understanding different methodologies and when they are appropriate; as well as more practical sessions on identifying and collecting relevant data and problem solving. In addition, you will develop skills that will help you to successfully lead and manage client engagements now and in your future careers. |
