Synopsis: | Develop effective people, cultural and work strategies for managing human resources in an international context. You'll learn to recognise the significance and complexities of people management in a changing world of work.
Focusing on global organisations, You will examine the implications of cultural and institutional differences on a range of areas like:
- multinational corporations
- transnational knowledge transfer
- working in the digital space |
Content: | The unit will explore how national culture and institutions influence work and management issues in global corporations. It will examine the challenges of managing work and management issues in multinational corporations, taking into account several levels of analysis. Topics include: management of knowledge across borders, diversity management, corporate social responsibility across borders, international human resource management strategies, the impact of digitalisation on aspects of cross-border work and management. |
