On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
* Show sound communication skills in both written and spoken forms, with an advanced level of fluency, accuracy and appropriateness of language use;
* Analyse texts in the target language (style, register, lexical and syntactical features) ;
* Demonstrate mediation skills between the target culture and the culture of origin.

Content: | * Written Language: translation in and out of English; analysis of contemporary texts, argumentation, summarization and essay writing.
* Spoken language: group debate and discussion, individual presentations on a wide range of cultural, political, social subjects; audio-visual activities.
