This is a 2 year part-time programme. Units should be studied following one of the routes below:

Route 1: Interdisciplinary international development first

Year 1
  • SP50325: History and theory of international development (Semester 1);
  • SP50324 : Doing research for international development (Semester 1 and Semester 2);
  • Optional unit (Semester 2).
Year 2
  • SP50327: Economics for international development (Semester 1);
  • Either SP50334: Dissertation or SP50335: Practicum (Semester 1 and Semester 2);
  • SP50330: Global political economy (Semester 2).

Route 2: Pathway specific units first

Year 1
  • SP50327: Economics for international development (Semester 1);
  • SP50324 : Doing research for international development (Semester 1 and Semester 2);
  • SP50330: Global political economy (Semester 2);
Year 2
  • SP50325: History and theory of international development (Semester 1);
  • Either SP50334: Dissertation or SP50335: Practicum (Semester 1 and Semester 2);
