Learning Outcomes: Develop a fundamental understanding of the properties of traditional and innovative building materials and their potential application in the conservation and repair of heritage assets.

Ability to select appropriate techniques and materials for use in specific applications.

Synopsis: Develop your knowledge and understanding of the practice, philosophies, issues, application and characteristics and decay of traditional and innovative building materials, including building techniques, skills and tools for the conservation of historic buildings and cultural heritage, their sustainability and impact on the environment.
