Students completing this unit will have extended their knowledge of a range of contemporary sports performance issues. Students will demonstrate an understanding of recent applied sport research. |
Aims: | To extend the students knowledge of a range of contemporary sports performance issues. |

Content: | Discussion of the development of applied sport research and of contemporary trends within it related to enhancement of sports performance. Applied sport research will be analysed from a range of disciplinary perspectives including (but not limited to) applied physiology, strength and conditioning, sports injury management, applied sports psychology, and sports nutrition. |
