Critically discuss evidence-based rehabilitation programmes based on own clinical experience.
Justify the roles and responsibilities of the various clinicians within a multi-disciplinary team in meeting the needs of athletes in the student's own clinical environment.
Develop positive and supporting relationships with patient and the MDT, using appropriate communication methods.
Synthesise and apply knowledge gained in this and other modules in the management of a broad range of football-related conditions. |
Synopsis: | Produce a professional practice portfolio to identify and develop your ongoing learning needs.
You'll focus on using reflective practice, and continuing clinical and education experiences (alongside academic development in the other units of the course) to compile a portfolio which covers:
- your profile as a learner
- your personal and/or professional development plans
- your accumulation of football-related practice hours
- case studies and experiences relevant to the course content |
Content: | Learning needs review via Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) and Personal Development Plans (PDPs) as part of a portfolio of experiential learning
Evaluating the process of critical analysis and reflection culminating in the formulation of a reflective case study
Practice of first aid and life support (Exemption is granted with a suitable pre-hospital trauma certificate)
Experience of the wider multidisciplinary sports team as it applies to the prevention of injury and rehabilitation. |
