Synopsis: | Produce a professional practice portfolio to identify and develop your ongoing learning needs.
You'll focus on using reflective practice, and continuing clinical and education experiences (alongside academic development in the other units of the course) to compile a portfolio which covers:
- your profile as a learner
- your personal and/or professional development plans
- your accumulation of football-related practice hours
- case studies and experiences relevant to the course content |
Content: | Compilation of a portfolio of experiential learning
Application of knowledge relevant to the clinical practice of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Appraisal of the scientific evidence-base to provide appropriate and justified management.
The wider multidisciplinary sports team as it applies to the treatment and prevention of injury and illness and to rehabilitation
The demands of different sports and settings in which SEM is practiced
Students will receive guidance from a professional development advisor, who is a trained sports medic, to support their learning in this unit. |
