  • Develop an understanding of the role and practice of marketing as a management function and organisational philosophy;
  • explore the principles and practices of developing a marketing mix using theoretical frameworks and analytical tools;
  • provide practice in assessing and solving marketing problems using real-world examples;
  • lay the foundations for students wishing to take more specialised courses in marketing.



Synopsis: Develop a good understanding of what marketing is and its core principles like conducting analysis, marketing strategy and dealing with the marketing mix of product, price, place and promotion. You will explore many examples from businesses and work in teams to apply your learnings into practice.
