Synopsis: Explore international business theory, practice and industry perspectives. You will develop your knowledge of topical issues affecting multinational firms. You will: - analyze contemporary and critical issues in global business - gain a deep appreciation of their impacts on cross-border business - develop the ability to evaluate their implications for international management

Content: This unit will introduce students to contemporary and emerging issues in the international business environment. Emphasizing an interdisciplinary, critical, and reflective approach, it will explore trends and topics such as sustainability, climate change, regulation, global shocks, capitalism, digitization, governance, ethics, and political economy among others. Theoretical discourses will be explored and analyzed within the context of current practical developments and recent case studies. The unit will also introduce students to frameworks and techniques for evaluating debates and articulating independent thought on the diverse, dynamic and interwoven issues faced by multinational and global enterprises.
