Content: The unit will build on the skills developed in research design, analysis and reporting during first year. Students will be introduced to more advanced approaches to analysing both quantitative and qualitative data. They will be guided in designing, conducting, analysing, and reporting larger scale research projects and experience working under the supervision of an experienced member of staff. Students will work on projects in collaboration and gain experience in presenting their research. They will gain further experience in assessing and planning for ethical issues in psychological research. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on and critically evaluate the approaches covered during their research methods training.
