On completion of this unit students will be able to:
1. Conceptualise a small work based project aimed at improving a key process, product or service (knowledge and understanding; key skill) 2. Evaluate key processes and activities in practice to determine whether there is scope for continuous improvement (professional practical skill; key skill) 3. Identify, critically assess and select an appropriate quality improvement tool and approach to enhance their own and others' practice (knowledge and understanding; professional practical skills; key skill); 4. Apply the relevant improvement tools to key practice processes and generate data and areas for improvement 5. Write up the findings of the project in a report suitable for presenting to employers or other key stakeholders. |
Aims: | To apply key tools from the Quality Improvement movement to the continuous enhancement of pharmacy practice in specific professional settings. |
