Synopsis: | You will learn about key theories of the state and examine the multiple pressures on state capacity and prospects of building an effective state for economic and social development. Explore the concept of democracy and the intersection between processes of democratization and development as well as the concept of governance, which has become an integral part of the thinking and practice of development. |
