By the end of the Unit, you will be able to:
1. use relevant software to construct 2D and 3D drawings to communicate a design project; 2. use a combination of 3D models and or 2D imagery with post-production manipulation to present creative, informative and beautiful architectural illustrations. |
Synopsis: | This Unit provides a critical understanding of digital techniques in relation to the design process and communication. It introduces you to the use of CAD software in the construction industry and develop 2D & 3D digital modelling skills. The principles of rendering and image manipulation will also be introduced. These communication techniques form an important tool within the architectural professional and beyond - to those that are not designers. |
