Learning Outcomes: On completion of the unit, the students will be able to: 1. appreciate AI as a mechanism to deal with computationally hard problems in a practical manner; 2.�¿demonstrate understanding of fundamental concepts of AI and put them into practice.


Synopsis: You will engage with artificial intelligence as a tool to approach computationally hard problems in a practical manner, applying fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence in practice.

Content: Topics covered by this unit will typically include: probabilistic reasoning, graphical models, sequential decision making under uncertainty, reinforcement learning, logical representation and reasoning (e.g. first-order logic), logic programming, constraint satisfaction, and planning, generative adversarial Networks (GANs), Visualizing CNN, attention models, transformer and AI planning
