By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

demonstrate critical understanding of the concept of international schooling, and its relationship to the concept of international education
critically analyse the relationship between values and ideologies, and how the underlying value system of a school relates to the curriculum and management style adopted
demonstrate critical awareness of issues which are of particular relevance to students and teachers in the context of international education
relate your understanding of issues arising from research in this context to your own experience and to the improvement of your own practice
critically reflect upon the broader implications of international education practices, including your own, for example in terms of sustainable development and global citizenship education. |
