By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
Identify, examine, and appraise key educational issues;
Select and justify the focus, scope, and methodology of an educational project or dissertation;
Review, employ, and engage critically with appropriate literature;
Collect, analyse, and interpret data appropriately;
Draw appropriate conclusions taking account of its strengths and limitations and communicate them clearly to specialist and non-specialist audiences. |
Synopsis: | With support from your supervisor, you will design and conduct a small-scale dissertation or professional development project.
Either choice will involve the examination of a specific educational issue, and will require the development and implementation of subject matter, research knowledge and skills.
The dissertation or project should focus on improving aspects of educational policy or practice, including addressing UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). |
