Aims: The aim of this unit is to examine, at an advanced and specialised level, key issues, concepts, debates, practical approaches, and career pathways in the field of sport for development.

Content: Theory and key concepts in sport for development (e.g., postcolonial theory, hegemony, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development); sport for development research and scholarship; sport for good (e.g., Millennium Development Goals); critical perspectives on sport for development organisations and practice; sustainable sport development; monitoring and evaluating sport for development; contemporary issues and case studies in sport for development; sport for development in domestic and international contexts; sport for development career and study pathways.
